Dr. Krishna Ramaswamy is working on comparing the biochemical activity of peroxisomal lipid metabolic pathways in cultured cells from human and non-human primates. She seeks to identify differences in the biochemical activities of lipid metabolic pathways among primates that may reflect adaptations to diet.
