Winnie is conducting mutational analysis of peroxin genes in individuals with peroxisome biogenesis disorders (PBDs). She is interested in identifying the genetic changes that are responsible for these disorders in order to develop effective clinical tests for these disorders and provide the information necessary for more personalized therapeutic interventions for these patients.
