Xiaoming Wang
Xiaoming studies the role epigenetic phenomena play in the development and progressions of lymphoma. She is particularly interested in the identification of DNA methylation biomarkers to monitor levels of cancer cells remaining in lymphoma patients after therapeutic interventions. In order to do this, she is employing high-throughput DNA methylation assays of tumors using CpG island microarray and Illumina bead array technologies. Furthermore, she is comparing large-scale DNA methylation and gene expression data sets to elucidate the role that DNA methylation plays in regulating gene expression in cancer cells.
